Netflix’s breakout Korean cooking hit “Culinary Class Wars” is back — and this time, entire restaurant teams are stepping into the spotlight.

Netflix is officially bringing back Culinary Class Wars for Season 3, but fans shouldn’t expect the same competition they’ve seen before. Instead of individual chefs battling it out, the streaming giant is shaking things up with a bold new team-based format that puts whole restaurant kitchens on the line.
In the upcoming season, four-person teams from the same restaurant will compete together, turning the series into a high-pressure showdown of teamwork, strategy, and shared pride. It’s no longer about one chef’s skills — now, an entire establishment’s reputation is at stake.
According to Netflix Korea, only chefs currently working at the same restaurant can apply as a team. Solo applicants and mixed teams from different restaurants won’t be allowed. However, restaurants with multiple locations under the same brand can join forces as one unified group, adding an extra layer of strategy to the competition.
The format change comes as the show continues to ride a wave of global success. Culinary Class Wars has landed in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV list for two years in a row, with Season 2 earning praise for its intense challenges and creative twists. Viewers loved the rising stakes — and Netflix seems ready to push them even higher.
Studio Slam will return to produce the new season, along with the original creative minds behind the show. Producer Kim Eun-ji and writer Mo Eun-seol are both back, promising fans that Season 3 will deliver fresh excitement while staying true to what made the series a hit.
“Thanks to the incredible support from viewers around the world through Season 2, we’re grateful to move forward with Season 3,” Kim said in a statement, adding that the team is focused on making the new format even more entertaining.
The show’s impact goes beyond the screen. Season 1 was widely credited with boosting Seoul’s dining scene, as featured restaurants saw increased reservations and global attention. With Season 3 spotlighting entire kitchens, the ripple effect could be even bigger.
