After more than a decade of development twists, Eternia is officially back.

Amazon MGM has released the first trailer for Masters of the Universe, offering fans a long-awaited look at Travis Knight’s live-action take on the beloved animated series.

At the center of it all is Nicholas Galitzine, who steps into the iconic role of He-Man — sword raised, muscles flexed, and destiny calling.

Rather than focusing only on spectacle, the trailer highlights a classic hero’s journey. Galitzine’s Prince Adam transforms into He-Man to defend his world from the dark magic of Skeletor, played by Jared Leto.

Leto’s version of the skull-faced villain leans eerie and intense, setting up a sharp contrast between light and darkness that longtime fans will recognize instantly.

The film also leans heavily on its ensemble. Camila Mendes brings strength and heart to Teela, while Alison Brie appears delightfully dangerous as Evil-Lyn.

Idris Elba’s Man-At-Arms adds gravitas, and Morena Baccarin’s Sorceress anchors the story’s mythic side. James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley round out the royal family as King Randor and Queen Marlena.

Directed by Travis Knight, known for blending emotion with epic visuals, the movie feels carefully crafted rather than rushed. Knight and screenwriter Chris Butler came aboard in early 2024, and production officially kicked off in London in January 2025 — a major milestone for a project that has floated between studios since 2010.

Produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Mattel Films, and Escape Artists, #Masters of the Universe# reflects Mattel’s continued push to reintroduce classic properties to modern audiences.

For fans who grew up shouting “By the power of Grayskull!” in their living rooms, this isn’t just another reboot. It’s a revival decades in the making.

Masters of the Universe charges into theaters worldwide on June 5.
