Rod Stewart postponed his June 2 Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace due to illness.

Rod Stewart fans in Las Vegas were in for a disappointment last night when the 80-year-old music icon suddenly postponed his show just hours before it was set to begin. The concert, scheduled to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, was called off less than four hours before showtime due to an unspecified illness.
The British rock legend took to Instagram to share the news with his fans. “I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10,” Stewart wrote in his Instagram Story. “Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”
Caesars Palace also confirmed the postponement, reassuring fans that tickets for the original June 2 show would be honored at the rescheduled performance.
The concert was part of Stewart’s ongoing Las Vegas residency, dubbed “The Encore Shows.” These performances are a continuation of his wildly successful 13-year run at Caesars Palace, where he has already played over 200 shows. Despite originally hinting at wrapping up his Vegas stint, Stewart changed his mind, saying he wasn’t quite ready to stop performing at the iconic venue. The current leg of his residency is set to run through October 4.
This isn’t the first time Stewart has had to cancel shows recently. In 2024 alone, he has already scrapped three performances due to illness. Last year, in 2023, he canceled a highly anticipated show in Australia just six hours before showtime, citing a viral infection that irritated his throat.
Fans have been supportive but concerned about Stewart’s health, especially given his age and the string of cancellations over the past two years. Many took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery and express their hope that he’ll be back on stage soon.
As of now, Stewart’s next Las Vegas show is still scheduled for this Thursday. No additional cancellations have been announced, but fans will no doubt be watching for updates.
For those planning to attend the rescheduled June 10 concert, Caesars has confirmed that previously purchased tickets will still be valid. In the meantime, fans are sending their love and hoping the rock legend gets the rest he needs to return to the stage strong.
