Kelly Clarkson Helps Fans Get Engaged and Renew Vows During Vegas Comeback Show.

Kelly Clarkson made her emotional return to the stage in Las Vegas — and turned it into a night full of love, laughter, and healing.
The “Stronger” singer resumed her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, marking her first full concert since the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, in August. Blackstock, who was 48, died after a three-year battle with skin cancer.
Rather than dwelling on grief, Clarkson brought light to the night — literally helping fans fall in love all over again. In a viral TikTok moment, the 43-year-old paused mid-show to help a couple get engaged. When one fan dropped to one knee in the front row, Clarkson eagerly leaned in with her mic, yelling, “Speak louder!”
The crowd roared as the fan asked his boyfriend to marry him, and Clarkson shouted with her signature sass, “Say, ‘yes,’ b—-!” The boyfriend happily screamed back, “Yes, b—-!” sending the audience into cheers and applause. The couple, visiting from London, told Clarkson she’s officially invited to their wedding — and she couldn’t stop smiling.
“That’s so sweet!” Clarkson gushed, before joking, “Do me a favor and ignore this next song… maybe go to the bathroom! I don’t wanna poo on your parade.”
But the romance didn’t stop there. Later in the show, Clarkson helped another couple renew their vows after 10 years of marriage. “You made it a decade? F— yeah, look at that!” she said, reading their vows onstage. Even though she joked that she wasn’t legally allowed to officiate, she still played along — throwing a playful jab at her former The Voice co-star, Blake Shelton.
“If Blake Shelton can do this, any f—— person can do this. They’ll let anyone do it!” she teased, referencing Shelton’s history of officiating weddings.
As she wrapped up the spontaneous ceremony, Clarkson read aloud, “Do you both promise to keep dancing through life together — offbeat or not — for at least another 10 years? F— that — 50, 60. Aim high!”
Clarkson’s Vegas comeback comes just three months after postponing her residency to be with her children during Blackstock’s illness. The former couple, who were married from 2013 to 2022, share daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington Alexander, 9.
When announcing the postponement in August, Clarkson told fans on Instagram, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
After his passing, Blackstock’s family shared a heartfelt message, writing that he “bravely battled cancer for more than three years” and passed away “peacefully, surrounded by family.”
Clarkson returned to her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, in early September, before its seventh season premiered later that month. Then, on Nov. 3, she surprised fans with an announcement that her Vegas residency would continue — and expand.
“Come see me,” she posted on Instagram.
From helping fans say “I do” to reminding the world she can still bring joy through tears, Clarkson’s comeback show proved one thing loud and clear — love, laughter, and resilience never go out of tune.
