The reality singing show “The Voice” has wrapped up its 29th season. This season was presented under the theme “Battle of Champions,” with fierce competition all season long. In the finale, Alexia Jayy was announced as the winner. She was mentored throughout her journey by coach Adam Levine.

The final lineup included several strong contestants. Among the runners-up was Lucas West from Team John Legend, while Team Kelly Clarkson was represented by Mikenley Brown and Liv Ciara, all of whom kept things tight right up to the finale.

Following her win, Alexia Jayy’s new single “Rent Free” is scheduled to be released on April 15 at 12 a.m. ET. The track has been produced by Grammy Award-winning producers Jack Splash and Jim Jonsin. The song is described as having a striking opening and a powerful chorus, that’s hard to shake. According to Jayy, the track is about knowing your worth and walking away, even when others fail to recognize it in time.

A new element was introduced this season. Xfinity announced an “Artist Launch Kit” for the winner. As part of this, Alexia Jayy will receive a personal home recording studio, allowing her to create and record music independently. In addition, she will be provided with one year of internet and mobile services, so she can put her music out there on her own terms.

Alexia Jayy’s journey in the competition turned heads from day one. During the Blind Auditions, she performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman,” showing off the raw power and control in her voice. All three coaches turned their chairs, and she chose Adam Levine as her coach, who had described her as one of the best voices in the competition.

In the Battle Round, she held her own in a duet performance of “Nightshift,” outperforming her competitor Moses G, who was later picked up by Team Legend. Moving into the Knockout Round, Jayy impressed the coaches with her performance of Whitney Houston’s “You Give Good Love.”

In the semifinals, she delivered an emotionally driven performance of Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You),” showing once again just how far her voice can go. Her performances in the finale were just as show-stopping, where she sang Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade” and Adele’s “One and Only,” earning a standing ovation from the coaches.

During the finale, Alexia Jayy also performed a duet with Adam Levine on Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning.” She was subsequently announced as the winner of Season 29.

The show is presented by MGM Television, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and Warner Bros. Television Group. It was created by John de Mol, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher, and Barry Poznick.
