In the wake of Eric Dane’s heartbreaking death, those who loved him most are stepping in to make sure his daughters feel supported in the years ahead.

The beloved actor — known to millions as Dr. Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy and as Cal Jacobs on Euphoriadied Thursday at 53, just 10 months after revealing he had been diagnosed with ALS.

Now, friends of the late star have launched a GoFundMe campaign to provide financial stability for his two teenage girls.

Dane shared daughters Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13, with actress Rebecca Gayheart. According to the fundraising page, created by “Friends of the Dane Family,” the goal is to “help provide stability” and support their future needs following their father’s passing.

The page also honors Dane’s courage during his illness. After publicly sharing his diagnosis in April, he became an advocate for people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, using his platform to raise awareness about the disease.

Even as his health declined, friends say he stayed committed to helping others facing ALS.

As of publication, the fundraiser has collected $28,272 toward its $250,000 goal.

Dane’s death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from across Hollywood. Shonda Rhimes, who worked with him on Grey’s Anatomy, shared heartfelt words, as did Sam Levinson of Euphoria.

Many others reflected on his warmth, talent and the lasting impact he had both on and off screen.

In a year already marked by loss in Hollywood, Dane’s passing is a painful reminder of how quickly life can change.

But through this GoFundMe, his friends are focused on something deeply personal — protecting the future of the two girls he loved most.
