Pop singer Katy Perry posted a quick message for her fans after actress Ruby Rose made allegations of sexual assault. It started when Rose posted a series of claims on the social media platform Threads.
On Tuesday, April 14, Katy Perry wrote “i love you” to her followers via an Instagram Story. She also posted a photo of her 2013 album Prism featuring the song “By the Grace of God.” The song deals with resilience and starting over.
Earlier, on Sunday, April 12, Ruby Rose claimed on Threads the incident happened almost 20 years ago, when she was in her early 20s, at a nightclub in Australia. She laid out the alleged incident in detail across her posts.

Following these allegations, Katy Perry’s rep released a statement on April 13. The statement called the claims “categorically false” and described them as “dangerous and reckless lies.”
The rep also said that Ruby Rose has a track record of making serious allegations against various individuals on social media, all of which the named individuals have denied.
In one of her posts, Ruby Rose said it took her almost twenty years to go public about the incident. She added that while she is grateful to have found her voice, it also shows the deep impact of trauma and sexual assault.

However, Rose clarified that she is not interested in filing an official report regarding the matter. She said this after a user connected her allegations to a past dispute with Katy Perry in 2017.
Rose also wrote that Perry can go ahead and sue her but claimed that this would not happen. She said she has evidence related to the incident and that it occurred in a public place with multiple witnesses.
On the morning of Tuesday, April 14, Ruby Rose shared another update, stating that she had filed police reports on several past incidents. She added she can no longer speak publicly about those cases or the individuals involved.
Rose said the process gives her relief and lets her start healing. She also thanked her supporters, saying she loves them very much.
