Wendy Williams’ neurologist has reportedly confirmed she does not have frontotemporal dementia, the condition that has kept her under a strict guardianship for over three years.

According to TMZ, Wendy recently underwent a new round of neurological tests in New York City, and the results—shared with her legal team last month—show no signs of the illness. This contradicts an earlier diagnosis cited by her court-appointed guardian.

Experts note that frontotemporal dementia is a degenerative disease that cannot improve, yet Wendy has shown major cognitive and physical improvement since becoming sober three years ago.

Her lawyers now plan to file documents within two weeks seeking to end the guardianship. If the judge refuses, Wendy’s high-profile attorney Joe Tacopina intends to push for a jury trial to restore her freedom.

According to Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia is an umbrella term for a collection of symptoms, including loss of memory, language, and problem-solving abilities, that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. It is not a single disease itself but rather a syndrome caused by various underlying diseases and conditions that damage brain cells.

Following TMZ’s report, a Facebook user named Jeffery Lewis sparked debate online by commenting, “Britney didn’t have dementia either. But that’s the diagnosis that gets you into the conservatorship. Wild how none of the internet doctors knew that.”

Several users replied, with one writing, “Give it up on Britney. Just looking at her and her actions proves that she has an issue,” while another added, “She is mentally ill. Britney has Bipolar. It’s not the same thing.” Others questioned whether Britney Spears was ever diagnosed with dementia at all, with one user noting, “Bipolar maybe. Something’s definitely off with her.”

Another commenter weighed in, saying, “She’s a celebrity who’s put herself out there for all to see. She clearly has issues, and her followers are too deep in her world to notice.”

Recently, Wendy was spotted attending the wedding of Tacopina’s son, Chris—who works as the Data Analytics Manager for the Florida Panthers and is set to receive his second Stanley Cup ring.
