Cori Broadus Mourns the Loss of Baby Codi Dreaux After a Long NICU Journey: “She Was Our Miracle”

Cori Broadus shares heartbreaking news of her baby’s death, reflecting on faith, resilience, and the brief life that changed hers forever.

Cori Broadus is remembering her daughter not only for how she died, but for how bravely she lived.

The 26-year-old, who is Snoop Dogg’s youngest child and only daughter, announced on Jan. 31 that her 10-month-old baby girl, Codi Dreaux, had died. Cori shared the news quietly on Instagram Stories, posting a black-and-white photo of herself smiling as she held her baby close.

“Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote, adding a single angel wing emoji.

For Cori and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, Codi’s life had always been defined by strength. Born extremely premature at just 25 weeks, Codi entered the world three months early and spent the next 10 months in the NICU.

From the beginning, her parents leaned on faith to carry them through the uncertainty.

In earlier posts, Cori had opened up about the emotional toll of a high-risk pregnancy, admitting to moments of guilt and self-blame. “I’ve cried and cried,” she once shared, while also affirming her belief that God was guiding her through every step.

Cori delivered Codi via C-section after developing HELLP syndrome, a serious and potentially life-threatening pregnancy complication. Despite the odds, she consistently described her daughter as “perfect,” celebrating every milestone, no matter how small.

Earlier this month, the family finally experienced a long-awaited moment of joy when Codi was able to come home. “She’s home,” Cori wrote on Jan. 6, thanking supporters for their prayers and love. Photos showed mother and daughter cuddled together, a quiet victory after months of hospital life.

Wayne Deuce also honored his daughter following her death, sharing photos and writing, “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”

Cori first revealed her pregnancy in December 2024, later telling E! News that doctors were deeply concerned due to her high-risk condition. Still, she remained hopeful. “God has his hands on me,” she said at the time.

Now, as she grieves, Cori’s words reflect a mother shaped by love, loss, and faith — and a baby whose short life left an everlasting mark.
