First Lady Issues Rare Statement on X, Accuses Network of Shielding Kimmel From Accountability

Melania Trump fired back at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, 58, on Monday, April 27, issuing a rare and pointed statement on X demanding that ABC take action against him.
The 56-year-old First Lady accused Kimmel of spreading “hateful and violent rhetoric” on his show — and called on the network to stop enabling it.
In her post, Melania wrote directly and without restraint: “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy — his words are corrosive and deepen the political sickness within America.”
She went further, adding: “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.”
Melania didn’t stop at Kimmel — she went straight after the network behind him. She called Kimmel a “coward,” writing that he “hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.”
“Enough is enough. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community?” the First Lady wrote.
As of publication, neither ABC nor representatives for Kimmel have issued a public response.
